Asian Cup to be held in even years from 2032
The extraordinary General Assembly of the Asian Football Confederation, in its meeting in Tokyo, decided to move the hosting of the Asia Cup finals to even-numbered years starting from the 2032 edition. This change is in line with potential adjustments to the FIFA calendar to ensure that election dates align with national team tournaments. This adjustment will help organize competitions in harmony with the future international schedule, maintaining consistency between the Asian Confederation's elections and its major tournaments.
