The United Arab Emirates launched today, Tuesday, the "Union Train" project, which connects the Emirate of Fujairah to the capital Abu Dhabi to transport passengers, as part of its national strategy to expand the railway network. The project is expected to serve more than 36 million passengers by 2030, after achieving significant success in freight transportation, bringing it close to reaching the goal of transporting 60 million tons by 2030. It aims to reduce transport costs by 30% and save 8 billion dirhams in road maintenance. The project links seven logistical centers and four major ports, contributing to the reduction of congestion and traffic accidents, and supporting economic growth and sustainable development in the country.
