Trump's AI rebrand drives Slovenian domain surge

President Donald Trump proposed rebranding artificial intelligence as "super intelligence" (SI), prompting a surge in domain registrations with the .si suffix in Slovenia, where the official registry recorded over 44,000 registrations in September—an increase of more than 2,100% from August. The spike coincides with Trump's speech at the UN and his executive order instructing US agencies to adopt the new terminology, replacing AI in official communications. The rise may be partially driven by cyber-squatting or speculative domain purchasing.
