The article focused on the use of Saudi locations in cinema and drama over the past few years, where these sites have become an essential part of the storytelling rather than just a backdrop for filming. It discussed five main Saudi sites: Riyadh, Al-Ula, Jeddah, Al-Ahsa, Neom, and Tabuk, highlighting how the unique characteristics and history of these locations have contributed to showcasing diverse scenes that reflect the Kingdom's history and its geographical and cultural variety. For example, Riyadh appeared in various forms through works such as "7 Dogs," "Night Delegate," "Al-Asha Street," and "Gaalad Rizk 3." Al-Ula was featured in films like "Noura" and "Kundahar" to highlight its natural landscapes and terrain. Jeddah showcased both historical and modern aspects in movies such as "The Last Night on Route R" and "Life or Death Matter." Al-Ahsa was used to recreate traditional life in the series "Threads of Muaazib," while the deserts of Neom and Tabuk appeared in films like "Among the Sands" and "Desert Warrior" to depict the environmental challenges of the desert setting within the story. Saudi locations are increasingly integrating the country’s natural environment and history into artistic works, reflecting the diversity and evolving image presented by cinema and drama about the Kingdom.
