Iran's response to Rubio's expulsion

Iran's Mission to the United Nations denied that Washington requested the Iranian delegation to leave New York, affirming that the delegation, led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, departed according to a pre-scheduled timetable. They stated that the treatment was normal, with no pressure or formal request from the U.S. government. The mission clarified that the U.S. State Department informed about the departure date before the delegation's arrival, and that the matter simply pertains to the expiration of the allotted time for participating in the United Nations General Assembly proceedings. These statements come after some media outlets reported that Washington had asked the Iranian delegation to leave New York.
