Israel's Conditions for Military Talks
The article discusses the recent escalation developments by Israel in southern Lebanon, where Israel is imposing strict conditions on Lebanon regarding military activity and negotiations. It is pressuring the Lebanese army to prevent Hezbollah members from remaining in or returning to the villages. Additionally, Israel is working to transfer experimental zones to villages that are not occupied but are under Israeli military control, such as Nabatieh Al-Fouqa and the Iqlim al-Tuffah region. Israel has set conditions for addressing security issues, which include full coordination with the Lebanese army and a halt to its calls for withdrawal. It also emphasizes that there are no signs of resuming political negotiations before the Israeli and American elections. Lebanon is experiencing a state of stalemate, amid Israel’s refusal to negotiate directly and the American indifference to the Israeli escalation, with Lebanese hopes still pinned on international pressure to resume talks.
