Etihad Airways flags potential legal steps after City conviction

Etihad Airways announced that it is considering taking legal action against the English Premier League after the publication of the Independent Committee’s judgment results, which convicted Manchester City of inflating revenues through fictitious contracts with sponsors. The company stated that it did not participate in any violations. Although the company's name was not mentioned in the report, the close relationship between Etihad Airways and the club, which includes a sponsorship deal and stadium naming rights, caused it to be negatively affected by the investigation’s results. The company affirmed its rejection of any conclusions indicating its involvement in improper practices and indicated that it would explore legal options to protect its interests, while the club continues to appeal the findings.
