Oil prices fall after sanctions suspension
U.S. President Donald Trump has decided to lift sanctions and tariffs imposed on Russia, which could lead to an increase in Russian fuel exports. This move is expected to impact oil prices, as the futures prices for Brent crude fell to $107.92 per barrel after reaching their highest level since May. Similarly, West Texas Intermediate crude dropped to $100.58. This comes as part of Trump's assessment of the economic impact of the sanctions over a 60-day period, following an agreement with Russia to export diesel. This could significantly boost Russian fuel exports, with Ukraine warning that its interests may suffer as a result.
