Hezbollah Offers Support for Displaced Housing

The article focused on Hezbollah's efforts to provide aid for sheltering those affected by the war in Lebanon, especially in the south, following the escalation of the Israeli military operations in the area since March 2024, which has resulted in the destruction of hundreds of villages and towns. The party announced plans to offer partial financial support for rent payments, aiming to alleviate the suffering of thousands of families who have lost their homes. However, elections and past aid efforts suggest that support will be limited, and the party faces financial challenges due to the sanctions imposed on Iran. Opponents view these measures as an attempt to enhance Hezbollah's image as an entity capable of asserting itself, despite limited resources and internal criticism. Sources predict that this support may help stabilize Hezbollah's turbulent environment. The Lebanese government is expected to take on a larger role in providing compensation, while Hezbollah seeks to maintain its position as an influential actor in the region amidst its financial and security crises.
