Turkey-Azerbaijan $500M Defense Deal Includes Harop-2

Turkey and Azerbaijan signed contracts totaling over $500 million, including the supply of 14 "Hurkush-2" trainer aircraft and various defensive systems. The head of the Turkish Defense Industries Presidency announced that deliveries will begin later this year, with an emphasis on strengthening local capabilities and reducing reliance on foreign sources through joint production. The agreements also include establishing a factory in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic of Azerbaijan and supplying advanced radar and defensive systems, as part of a long-term plan to enhance military and space cooperation between the two countries.
