Syrian Security Detains Jamal Trablsi

The Syrian Internal Security Forces announced the arrest of Jamal Tarabulsi, who held the position of deputy to Mejar Orel, known as the "Butcher of Baniyas" during the toppled regime. It is worth noting that Orel's origins are Turkish, but he adopted Syrian nationality and took part in combat operations supporting the Syrian regime, including battles in Hama countryside, Idlib, and Aleppo. He was also involved in widespread massacres against civilians, most notably the Houla Massacre and the Bieida neighborhood. Tarabulsi was apprehended after being spotted in the city of Al-Bukamal, where there were military movements by his groups amid clashes between Syrian forces and the "SDF." Orel is considered a brutal figure, widely accused of committing war crimes and sectarian crimes; he was previously injured in a car explosion in Aleppo in 2017.
