Israeli forces fatally wound Palestinian in West Bank

The Israeli army killed a Palestinian and injured others today, Monday, in a shooting incident involving their vehicle in southern the West Bank. The forces opened fire in response to an attempted attack by suspects who tried to assault the vehicle and collided with it. A Palestinian authority confirmed that the identity of the deceased remains unknown, and the injured were transferred to Israeli hospitals. Violence in the West Bank has intensified since the outbreak of the war in Gaza in October 2023, with attacks and assaults resulting in the deaths of more than 1,114 Palestinians, alongside at least 49 Israelis killed, according to official statistics.
