Ethiopia Accuses Eritrea of Military Infiltration

The article describes the crisis between Ethiopia and Eritrea, where Ethiopia informed the Security Council of its measures to defend against Eritrea, accusing it of military incursions into Ethiopian territory and supporting opposition groups. This move has heightened fears of a broader military confrontation in the region. Eritrea responded by calling for Security Council intervention and considered the accusations an attempt to justify Ethiopian aggression. Tensions have been escalating, especially in the Tigray region, following repeated clashes and the resumption of hostilities there, despite the signing of a ceasefire agreement in 2022.
