French authorities announced that 19 people were injured and traffic was temporarily disrupted after a small bus carrying truck drivers collided with a vehicle transporting cars through the Channel Tunnel between France and England. The incident occurred when the bus veered off course and hit the side of the train, resulting in two people being seriously injured and others losing their lives, in addition to 17 others suffering minor injuries. Vehicle traffic through the tunnel was suspended for 90 minutes before gradually resuming. However, passenger Eurostar train services and freight operations were not affected. The tunnel, opened in 1994, transports approximately 3 to 4 million vehicles annually.
