Lebanese Justice Minister: Hezbollah explosive probe expands

The article discusses Lebanese Minister of Justice Adel Nassar's efforts to advance investigations into the explosive shipment linked to "Hezbollah," which poses a threat to Lebanese national security. Nassar explains that the investigations are ongoing and expanding, and that he has requested that the government refer the case to the Judicial Council due to the significant risks associated with stockpiling and using explosives, especially given suspicions that they could be used to carry out terrorist acts or military operations, thereby threatening the region and national security. The Minister of Justice affirmed that this measure is legal and aimed at safeguarding security, and that the investigations are conducted completely independently of political interference, with full confidence in the competent judges. There is also a government stance rejecting political meddling, with legal efforts to follow up on the case continuing despite Hezbollah's objections.
