Algiers Metro Exploitation Company "Sima" announced a modification to the train service schedule starting Friday, August 7, 2026, to facilitate technical maintenance operations. Trains will operate on a direct route between Ain Nâaja and Place des Martyrs stations, instead of the previous route between El Harrach and Place des Martyrs. Passengers heading to certain stations like Bachd Jara and El Harrach will need to change trains at Bir Badr station. The company urged passengers to pay attention to the informational signs and follow staff instructions, advising those arriving from certain stations to use the designated stairs and platform.
