Red Sox miss Connelly Early, welcome Mead
The Boston Red Sox traded pitcher Connelly Early to the Washington Nationals in exchange for infielder Curtis Mead. Early, who was on the injured list, had posted an 8-7 record with a 3.24 ERA in 21 starts, while Mead is having a breakout season with 17 home runs and a high OPS. The trade reflects the team’s efforts to improve its roster and signals confidence in other young players, alongside ongoing team adjustments.
