Norwegian teen convicted of UK murder plan
A 19-year-old Norwegian man, Johannes Natland, was found guilty of conspiracy to murder in the UK after traveling from Norway with firearms to carry out a planned hit on behalf of a Swedish organized crime group linked to Iran. He was arrested in Huddersfield with guns, ammunition, and cash before the attack, which was ultimately thwarted when Norwegian police detained his recruiter, known as "Generalen," who had ordered the hit. The court heard details of the group's involvement in multiple murders and attempted killings across Europe, with authorities racing to prevent the assassination. Natland was remanded into custody pending sentencing.
