Professor Haya Mohammed Al Khatib, Specialist in Pediatrics and Endocrinology, confirmed that breastfeeding is one of the most important health fundamentals that contribute to building a person's health from the very first moments. The Kingdom celebrated World Breastfeeding Day under the slogan "Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life," which highlights the responsibility of the community, families, and healthcare institutions to support and promote breastfeeding practices. I commend the role of the Natural Breastfeeding Committee and the Royal Medical Services in raising awareness and developing training programs, emphasizing that breastfeeding is not just about nutrition but the beginning of a journey of love and reassurance between mother and child. It is truly a fundamental right for the child that aids in their development and protection. The celebration also underscores the importance of fostering a culture of early breastfeeding and supporting mothers to ensure the best start in life.
