The Safety Box highlights child abuse victims
The "Safe Box for Physical Expression" project has been launched in Bahrain to strengthen the rights of child victims of sexual abuse. Its goal is to provide interactive methods and innovative tools that help children express their experiences away from psychological pressure and fear. The project relies on the use of anatomical dolls, interactive cards, and acting tools to reduce tension and improve the quality of information obtained from children during legal investigations. Preliminary experiments have shown an increase in children's comfort levels and a reduction in negative feelings, along with an enhanced ability to express and communicate. The project also includes specialized training for professionals to ensure that the tools are used in a professional and safe manner. The aim is to expand the project to include children with special needs, and it leverages modern techniques such as artificial intelligence to support protection and facilitate disclosure processes, with prospects for developing more comprehensive tools and services in the future.
