Taim Hassan put an end to the controversy over a widely circulated video in which Wafaa Al-Kilani is heard saying, “Taim, I want to marry you.” He confirmed that the clip had been taken out of context and that circulating it in this way was unfair to her—especially since she was married at the time of the interview. He explained that the remark came in response to a hypothetical question about an earlier statement by presenter Carolina de Oliveira, who had said she wanted to marry him; it was not an expression of Al-Kilani’s own desire.
