Sultan at Festival Closing
His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, attended the closing ceremony of the first Al Wusta Channel Heritage Festival at Al Dhaid Fort on Sunday evening. The festival marked the channel’s 10th anniversary. He honoured the winners of the top places in the camel races in the Haqayiq and Lagaya categories, as well as the organisations that supported the festival. The programme featured folk performances, poetry evenings, traditional crafts and heritage workshops, alongside contributions from productive families and Emirati entrepreneurs. The events aimed to showcase Bedouin heritage and introduce younger generations to Emirati customs and traditions.
