Thailand apprehends Chinese gang aide in crypto laundering
Thai authorities in Bangkok have successfully arrested Guo Chang Sai Su, a 29-year-old Chinese citizen, who is wanted in connection with an online scam network and money laundering totaling over 54 million baht through cryptocurrencies. The suspect was apprehended outside a building in the Bang Kapi area on August 6 as part of operations targeting an organized criminal network linked to a Chinese gang leader. During the raid, authorities confiscated 500,000 baht, two mobile phones, a car, and drugs including 2.56 grams of ketamine and 36.12 grams of "Happy Water" mix. This arrest comes after a report revealed that online scams resulted in losses exceeding 960 million baht in just one month.
