Al-Qoumiya Explains Monorail Station Location
The Ministry of Transport and the National Authority for Mass Transit reveal the reason for the presence of a Monorail station along the Alexandria Desert Road. It is considered part of a modern transportation network that connects current and new urban areas, helping to facilitate movement and provide better integration of the corridor with the comprehensive transportation system. The trial operation of the West Nile Monorail is scheduled to begin at the start of 2027, spanning 43.8 km with 13 stations. It will have a capacity of up to 600,000 passengers per day, with plans to increase the number of cars from 4 to 8 as the population density in the new areas continues to grow.
