Security forces in Kafr El Sheikh managed to apprehend an individual who impersonated a television broadcaster, based on a report from the Deputy Minister of Education for Kafr El Sheikh Governorate. The suspect, referred to as "T. A," had posted offensive and defamatory phrases on social media and claimed to be a media professional and TV program host. This prompted security action, leading to his referral to the public prosecution. He faced charges related to defamation, libel, slander, and impersonating a media personality. He was released on bail of 5,000 Egyptian pounds, amid ongoing concerns over the rising issue of identity fraud on social media platforms.
