Cairo University has launched a unified risk and crisis management guide aimed at enhancing the preparedness of faculties, institutes, and humanitarian entities within the university to deal with risks and emergencies. The guide is based on international standards such as ISO 31000, ISO 22301, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001, and includes an integrated methodology comprised of three phases: prevention and preparedness before a crisis, response and damage containment during a crisis, and recovery and resumption of activities afterward. The guide emphasizes defining responsibilities, standardizing practices, conducting drills, and providing technical support to ensure the effective and sustainable continuity of university operations and services.
