Agriculture Minister Alaa Farouk followed up on the Desert Research Center’s efforts in North Sinai after receiving a report on a field visit to inspect agricultural communities and farmers’ needs, as well as monitor the rehabilitation of the Sheikh Zuweid Research Station and service centers. The center announced that wheat planting and harvesting equipment would be available at a 50% discount to landholders with two feddans or less. It has also begun supplying 300,000 new olive seedlings, bringing the total to 750,000 of the one million seedlings designated for the governorate. The visit aimed to strengthen technical support and productivity, and to develop agricultural and development projects in the governorate.
