O2 demands in-person meeting with abusive partner
A woman attempting to remove her abusive ex-partner from her family phone account faced significant challenges with O2, which required in-person joint calls to transfer phone numbers. Due to safety concerns and financial hardship, she refused to meet him, but O2 only suggested in-person meetings, causing delays. After weeks of difficulty, O2 eventually disconnection notices were issued, and a £164 fee was waived, with the company offering £200 compensation for the distress caused.
