PM orders deputy ministers to attend Cabinet until new ministers named
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaydi directed deputy ministers of ministries whose ministers have not yet been appointed to attend Cabinet sessions to ensure the continued operation of their ministries and to expedite their tasks. They are allowed to manage their ministries’ affairs, except for the authority exclusively held by the designated minister. This measure aims to prevent delays in national interests and to improve the performance of government institutions, with a focus on encouraging high-level efforts from the deputies to enhance the quality of work. Additionally, the Ministry of Construction and Housing was instructed to study the project for Baghdad’s Fourth Ring Road and to include displaced individuals from Sinjar District in the urban land initiative.
