Baghdad and Berlin to launch direct flights in December
German company Euro Wings, a subsidiary of Lufthansa, announced the launch of direct flights between Baghdad and Berlin starting from December 10th. The schedule includes four weekly flights from Berlin and Dusseldorf to Baghdad. This move comes in response to the increasing number of travelers between Germany and Iraq, particularly for visiting friends and relatives. The airline is capitalizing on the current shortage of direct flights to Baghdad. This step aims to strengthen the company's position as an international carrier in the region and provide connectivity for more than half a million Iraqis residing in Germany, thereby enhancing social and cultural ties between the two countries.
