The General Security Directorate confirmed that security and awareness efforts over the past years have significantly contributed to reducing the phenomenon of gunfire and procession-like marches during events and celebrations, thereby helping to limit human and material losses. Nevertheless, some incidents still occur, which necessitates the continuation of awareness campaigns and the intensification of legal measures. It emphasized that actions exceeding the limits of legitimate expression of joy, such as firing bullets into the air and unruly traffic behaviors, pose a security threat and must be dealt with firmly. It also called on citizens to report violations in order to maintain the safety of the community.
