The Peace Council has reached a historic agreement to disarm Hamas and all armed factions in Gaza. The plan includes the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces once the disarmament process is complete. The agreement outlines the demilitarization of the sector, the deployment of Palestinian police, and the Peace Council's supervision of reconstruction efforts, all within carefully planned phases and a set timetable expected to commence within weeks. Hamas has accepted the conditions, stressing that the process will take time. The agreement also stipulates the phased withdrawal of Israeli troops, and Cairo will host a meeting to discuss the second phase of the ceasefire.
