The article discusses a warning from the Jordan Valley Agricultural Directorate about the impact of the severe heatwave on plant and animal assets in Jordan. It explained that rising temperatures decrease tree productivity and affect animal health. Therefore, farmers are advised to schedule watering early in the morning or after sunset, increase the amount and frequency of watering, and use shade nets and a layer of straw to keep the soil cool and moist. Caution is also given against excessive pruning and chemical fertilization during hot weather. It is recommended to provide cold water and suitable shade for the animals, ensure good ventilation, and keep them away from direct sunlight. As a result, these measures aim to reduce heat stress on plants and animals and ensure the continuity of production during hot conditions.
