A team from NBC News was attacked with sticks and stones by masked Israeli settlers while covering attacks and the eviction of a Palestinian family in the town of Jalud near Nablus in the West Bank. The attack resulted in injuries to several team members, including a cameraman and a producer, as well as a Palestinian woman, and also destroyed some of their filming equipment. The Israeli government condemned the attack and called for the arrest of those involved, but no arrests have been announced, leading to anger among the American press community and criticism over the lack of accountability measures, amid increasing incidents of violence and assaults by settlers in the area.
