Jordan and Russia have agreed to take practical steps to enhance economic, trade, and investment cooperation between them, aiming to increase the volume of trade exchange and expand collaboration in priority sectors such as commerce, industry, energy, agriculture, and tourism. This agreement comes after the meetings of the seventh session of the Joint Governmental Committee in Moscow. The parties emphasized the importance of diversifying mutual goods and services, strengthening the participation of Jordanian companies in economic events in Russia, and capitalizing on opportunities related to reconstruction in Syria and Iraq. There is also the possibility of Jordan becoming a logistical hub for Russian projects. Additionally, agreements were signed regarding free trade with Rwanda and Uzbekistan to open new markets. Officials pointed out that the current trade exchange volume remains below potential, which necessitates establishing mechanisms to increase cooperation and reduce obstacles.
