UK police detain suspect over Fairford plot
British police have reported the arrest of a 22-year-old British man in London on suspicion of preparing for terrorist activities. The investigation pertains to a plot targeting the Royal Air Force base at Fairford in southwestern England, which is used by the United States for operations against Iran. This followed the detention of five men near the base last week. As a result of the investigation, the United States withdrew all B-1 bombers from the base amidst security concerns, with 85 homes evacuated and authorities conducting investigations into the incident.
