Jordan’s Public Security Directorate warned residents of expected weather conditions on Friday and Saturday, as a cold air mass moves across the kingdom. Showers may be heavy and accompanied by thunder in the north and central regions and parts of the southwest. It urged people to stay away from valleys and flood channels, and to drive cautiously because of slippery roads, fog and dust. It also advised using heating equipment safely and ensuring adequate ventilation. The Directorate said its personnel were ready and urged anyone in need to call the unified emergency number, 911.
