Smotrich Confirms New Settlements
The article focuses on Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich's announcement regarding the continued construction of new settlements in the West Bank. He pointed to the establishment of 104 settlements as part of the fulfilled promises and mentioned plans for additional settlements. This comes amid escalating tensions in the region, with the occupation forces seizing around 200 dunams in Jenin to establish military sites, as well as an increase in settler attacks and arrests against Palestinians. The statements also reflect Israel's intention to expand settlements and strengthen its security, along with assurances that Tel Aviv does not wish for war with Iran, and its preparations for a possible confrontation with Turkey. Additionally, they aim to achieve a "settlement revolution" in the West Bank to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state in the heart of Israel.
