The article discusses Lebanon and Israelis' efforts regarding military withdrawals and border tensions. Washington emphasized the importance of a trilateral framework to achieve lasting peace and connected any additional Israeli withdrawal to Lebanon's flexibility on issues including Hezbollah's weaponry. Nawar Salameh called on the Lebanese government to translate principles of reciprocity and phased progress into tangible results, including Israeli withdrawal and state control, while the Lebanese army faces pressure to implement specific field measures. The ongoing debate highlights the need for cooperation among parties and ensuring that withdrawal expectations are not open-ended, with preparations underway for an upcoming military meeting in October to discuss experimental zones and deployment steps.
