Qalibaf Lybesent on US economic strain
The article focused on the response of Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf to statements made by U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. He pointed out that the current economic pressures faced by the United States are due to rising debt interest rates, reduced demand from major bondholders for purchasing U.S. securities, and the 30-year Treasury bond yield reaching its highest level since 2002, which could lead to continued increases in interest rates. He also mentioned that rising energy prices and developments in the Strait of Hormuz are adding further stress on U.S. finances, urging Washington to respect the rights of the Iranian people and find solutions to these issues.
