Beirut Mount Lebanon waive 85% late fees
The Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Authority announced that the issuance schedules for 2026 will be available for collection starting January 7, 2026. They urged subscribers to pay their dues for 2026 and earlier years through multiple channels. This is in light of the current economic circumstances. Additionally, the Authority issued organizational decisions including an 85% exemption on late fees for subscriptions due in 2025 and earlier, and a payment plan extending until the end of December 2028 to make it easier for those with outstanding balances from previous years. The fees for establishing new subscriptions have also been reduced, as well as the costs for changing names by 90%. Temporary subscriptions will be renewed, and there will be an option to installment the payments for 2026 over three installments, with specified due dates for each payment.
