Beirut and Mount Lebanon waters reduce late fines
The Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Authority has issued regulatory measures to assist subscribers during difficult economic conditions. These include exemptions, reduced fines, and installment payments for water bills. Among these measures, 85% of late fees on bills for 2025 and earlier have been waived, with the possibility of installment plans for overdue amounts from 2026 until the end of December 2028. Additionally, the authority has reduced the fees for establishing new subscriptions, changing names, and updating temporary subscriptions by up to 90%. It emphasized the importance of subscribers cooperating by paying their dues, with a specified schedule for paying the three installments during 2026.
