Al-Basatt Discusses Market Chaos on MTV
Minister of Economy Amer Al-Bassat commented on the issue of rising living costs, noting that the global increase in oil prices affects local prices. However, he emphasized that there is a lack of control in the markets that needs to be addressed. He explained that 17,500 field inspections have been carried out by 40 inspectors, with violation reports issued against those who break the rules. Nevertheless, he pointed out that solving the problem requires additional efforts and is not solely a matter of regulation.
