Damascus denies talks with Hezbollah in Turkey
The Syrian Foreign Ministry denied Hezbollah's participation in secret talks in Turkey, which aimed to ease tensions between the two sides. Reports indicate that the meeting, held last month at the Turkish authorities' invitation, focused on resolving disagreements. The two parties agreed that there is no hostility, and Syria confirmed that it would not engage militarily in Lebanon. Syria also requested Hezbollah’s assistance in halting arms smuggling and dismantling its dormant cells in southern Syria.
