Bulgarian PM denies supporting Russia
Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev reiterated his rejection of accusations that he is pro-Russia, emphasizing that his approach—focused on strengthening diplomatic solutions to end the war between Ukraine and Russia—does not follow the mainstream. He stated that he is committed to peaceful means and criticized Europeans for placing excessive emphasis on military funding, affirming that diplomacy remains an important option. He also clarified that attempts to re-engage with Moscow do not equate to supporting Russia’s policies. These remarks come amid diplomatic disagreements, especially following the failure of efforts to establish a ceasefire between the West and Russia.
