Freight drivers protest over issues
A force from the army blocked the Trinie-Tripoli road at Kfar Habu intersection in protest against the security measures and restrictions that prevent the transportation of materials from the Mroubin quarry area. This threatens the livelihood of about 250 to 300 families who rely on transporting sand and gravel. The protesters confirmed that the crisis began three months ago due to the confiscation of trucks on the pretext of transporting materials from quarries that do not have official licenses. It has escalated to banning trucks from passing through municipalities, forcing drivers to resort to secondary roads. The protesters are calling for urgent intervention to resolve the crisis, especially with the upcoming snowfall season, which will bring work to a complete halt in the area.
