EU discusses diesel supply timing
The European Union's Commissioner for Energy, Dan Jørgensen, announced that the bloc is discussing with all members of the International Energy Agency, not just the United States, the timing of releasing diesel reserves. He clarified that this step is one of the options available, having been used before, and it is likely to be repeated to ensure energy market stability. These discussions come amid expectations of rising energy prices this winter, with increasing pressure on fuel prices due to the war in Iran and the global surge in diesel prices. Notably, the price per gallon of diesel in Britain has reached record levels, while the average diesel price in the United States has increased for the second consecutive week.
