Al-Boustani cites Salam case and associates to court
The judge, Rola Othman, referred former Minister Amin Salam, his brother Karim Salam, and the President of the Accounting Experts Syndicate, Eli Aboud, to the Felony Court, emphasizing that cases of public funds must follow their judicial course to the end. Additionally, the company "Incrypt" has been excluded from the contracts for the "Mekneneh Al-Nafa" (Public Facility Maintenance) and passports, with the procurement processes transferred to the German company "Mühlbauer ID Services GmbH." This step aims to improve the management of these vital sectors, with the Economic Committee overseeing the procurement operations to ensure transparency and continuity of services. The committee affirmed the necessity of holding accountable those found guilty and ensuring regular service provision to citizens, emphasizing that oversight is intended to protect citizens’ rights, not settle scores.
