Rayfi Sends Open Letter to Health Minister on Tripoli's Rights
Member of Parliament Ashraf Rifi addressed an open letter to Minister of Health Rakan Nasser al-Din, clarifying that the health procedures for the people of Tripoli are being delayed and obstructed due to their political stances and their criticism of "Hezbollah." He emphasized that this reflects a serious violation, linking citizens' rights to their political background rather than serving the public interest. Rifi confirmed that citizens' health rights are a constitutional entitlement that must be granted without discrimination or politicization. He stated that the Ministry of Health belongs to all Lebanese citizens and is not a tool for political blackmail or revenge. Rifi urged the minister to intervene, investigate these violations, and put an end to the politicization of healthcare services. He underscored that his political positions remain unchanged and that he will not succumb to pressure concerning the rights of Tripoli’s residents to medical treatment.
