Yemeni council initiates attack on Houthis
The Yemeni Leadership Council has confirmed the start of a military operation to regain control of territories held by the Houthi militia, following the exhaustion of opportunities for de-escalation and giving the government a deadline for peace. It clarified that the operations aim to restore the state, emphasizing that the goal is not targeting civilians, sects, or tribes, and that the security and rights of the population in areas under Houthi control are among the reasons for these measures.
